There\u2019s a scene where Justin Timberlake\u2019s main character is asked what he\u2019d do if he had more of it than he could ever spend.<\/p>\n<p id=\"c171\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--figure\">His answer?<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"0d7d\" class=\"graf graf--pullquote graf--startsWithDoubleQuote graf-after--p\"><p><strong><em class=\"markup--em markup--pullquote-em\">\u201cI sure as hell wouldn\u2019t waste\u00a0it.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p id=\"52a5\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--pullquote\">For most of us, why we\u2019re trying to save or invest our money rarely comes up day to day, and if it does, we shoot back the standard material-items-checklist from the Joneses:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"postList\">\n<li id=\"0097\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--p\">New house<\/li>\n<li id=\"dcae\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\">New car<\/li>\n<li id=\"b365\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\">New kitchen<\/li>\n<li id=\"73f7\" class=\"graf graf--li graf-after--li\">New TV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"a109\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--li\">\u2026and oh, yeah, right, the kids. They\u2019re supposed to go to college. <em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">\u201cYou know, the usual stuff.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p id=\"e1f1\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">But\u2026why? Why? <em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">Why?<\/em><\/p>\n<p id=\"a731\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">Money does buy a lot of material belongings, but you can also trade it for the most intangible, scarcest resources on the planet: <strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">time and freedom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"dbd4\" class=\"graf graf--p graf--startsWithDoubleQuote graf-after--p\"><em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">\u201cLook at me, I\u2019m free to make this decision.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p id=\"c615\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">Isn\u2019t <em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">that<\/em> the statement a new BMW <em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">really<\/em> makes? Given you\u2019re happy with a modest lifestyle, <strong class=\"markup--strong markup--p-strong\">$1-$2 million at a 4% interest rate is more than enough<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"28d2\" class=\"graf graf--p graf-after--p\">You could take your clock and do what Will said:<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"fff5\" class=\"graf graf--pullquote graf-after--p\"><p><strong><em class=\"markup--em markup--pullquote-em\">&#8220;Stop watching it. You have all that time.
